Dr. Tobias Moser

Dr. Tobias Moser is the Founding Director of the Institute for Auditory Neuroscience, University Medical Center in Göttingen, Germany.  He is also Group Leader at the MPIs for Experimental Medicine and for Biophysical Chemistry, Göttingen and German Primate Center, Göttingen. From 2007 to 2014 Dr. Moser served as Professor of Auditory Neuroscience, Department of Otolaryngology, University Medical Center Göttingen.

Dr. Moser has published a number of articles and has been awarded numerous honors. His current work focuses on Synaptic Physiology and Biophysics, Auditory Neuroscience, Audiology and Neuroprosthetics.  He specializes in the biophysics, molecular physiology and pathology of synaptic transmission at the hair cell ribbon synapse and the optogenetic restoration of hearing.
