Chemi Peres is a pioneer in the Venture Capital industry in Israel. He is Managing General Partner and Co-Founder of Pitango, Israel’s leading Venture Capital Group with over $2 Billion under management, and a portfolio of some 230 high tech companies. Currently he serves on the boards of numerous Pitango portfolio companies such as Taboola, Via Transportation Radwin and more.
Mr. Peres is also pioneer in the field of impact investments in Israel. He is Chairman of the Al-Bawader Fund, a private-public partnership between Pitango and the Israeli Government, focused on investment in the Israeli Arab Minorities sector. Mr. Peres is chairing the Advisory Board of Impact1st (Israel’s first impact investment platform in technology). He also serves as a board member at SFI (Social Finance Israel, Israel social impact bonds platform). He is founder and Chairman of Amelia Investments, the first fund to promote Middle East regional collaboration. He founded and chairs the investment committee of TakwinLabs, an incubator for Arab entrepreneurs
Mr. Peres is active in not for profit activities. He is Chairman of the Peres Center for Peace & Innovation. Chemi founded and served as Chairman of IVA – Israel Venture Association (aka IATI), and was Chairman of the Israel America Chamber of Commerce.
He holds BSc. degree in Industrial Engineering & Management and MBA degree from Tel Aviv University
Mr. Peres served as a pilot in IAF (Israeli Air Force).
